Mickey had opened his bar at the time mentioned on his plaque, for once. He was very happy and peppy, since he only recently recovered a dog from the dog pound. Of course it had to be a large dog, since he was telling everyone how he disliked small animals more. He couldn't pick the dog's name though. He was already used to Xavier for a year, but that didn't matter much.

He rolled up his sleeves while whistling. "Hello, bud." he greeted his new acquired dog gingerly, while the animal replied with wagging his tail and lifting his head from his paws. "Stay." Mickey said while gesturing, before he continued walking towards the music installation, whistling once again. He stopped making the noises when he switched on the music, listening to his own created tunes. Then he walked back and started cleaning glasses, so they'd be presentable for any drinkers coming by.

Beau had been walking away from the farms, feeling slightly embarrassed about what happened earlier, but he wasn't going to show it to anyone. No, that's not his style. He put up a grin on his face like nothing seemed to bother him. He was planning to go back to the mayor's mansion when he passed the bar.

"Hm... A drink would be nice... And it's warm inside..." He mumbled to himself. Well, maybe he could take a break from the walk back and he could warm up a little, feeling slightly cold because he had fallen in the snow. "One drink won't hurt..." He mumbled when he walked towards the bar. He opened the door and smiled slightly more when he heard the music. "Not bad." He mumbled and then he closed the door behind him.

Mickey looked up from the glass and towel in his hand when he heard the door close. He didn't want to show attention when he heard opening it. He wore his usual smile. And Xavier had lifted his head once more, but wasn't aggressive, yet, just wary. "Welcome!" Mickey greeted jovially "Can I get you anything?"

Beau looked at Mickey and gave him a small smile like it was a greeting. He looked at Xavier for a moment, wondering how the dog would react. Probably a calm dog, that's what he thought and then he sat down on a bar seat. "Depends on what you have. I feel like I need something strong."

Mickey smiled wide, happy with such a request. "What are you looking for? Cocktails, vodka, ...? Or doesn't it matter at all?" he asked, wondering what the customer would reply. He was passing so many drinks through his mind, while he waited. Xavier in the mean while got up on his paws.

Beau wondered why Mickey smiled like that. Maybe his smile helps him sell more? "Hm, sounds good.... I guess a cocktail sounds nice. What do you recommend?" He asked, knowing Mickey probably knew what the best was. He just wanted to enjoy a really good drink and forgot how stupid he looked earlier.

Mickey was still passing cocktails in his mind for a while before he started to try and offer something. "If you want really strong, you might want to try an Aunt Roberta. It contains 100% alcohol and no mixers." he smirked "So what about it?" He had put down the glass in the meantime and started leaning on his lower side of the bar.

Beau listened to Mickey when he told about the Aunt Roberta and then he thought about it. "Well, it sounds interesting..." He mumbled and then he smirked. "Ah well, you only live once they say." He said amused. "One Aunt Roberta." He was getting pretty interested in the cocktail, hoping it would be as nice as it sounded.

Mickey smirked. Was this person possibly a heavy drinker? He wondered, but even though he really liked giving people strong drinks, he didn't really like drunks. Mickey started to mix the gin and vodka, letting brandy follow and continued to lengthen it with blackberry liquor and absinthe. He stirred a bit and then presented it to the customer. "There you go, one aunt Roberta." he smirked.

Beau wasn't a heavy drinker, although he was used to drinking thanks to formal situations his father took him to. He never got drunk, or he didn't remember. Besides, could one drink make him drunk? He watched Mickey mix the cocktail and then he looked at it. "Thanks." He said and then he slowly tasted it. That drink sure was strong... Very strong.

This drink was famous for flooring the people most used to alcohol. It could possibly make him drunk if he finished it all and isn't strong against the content. "And?" Mickey smirked "Do you like it's taste? Or is it not to your fancy?" He leaned again on his side of the bar, eager for the reply, while Xavier started sniffing the customer, wanting to know his scent.

Beau didn't dislike the taste of the drink, it was just very strong. Maybe it would make him drunk, but he wasn't sure if it would be a good expression to get back to the mayor's mansion drunk... He didn't want to get fired or anything. "It's nice I suppose, just very strong... I did ask for something strong though." He mumbled with a chuckle. He looked at Xavier when he began sniffing him. He petted the dog with a small smile.

Mickey smirked, feeling accomplished. "Indeed, you asked strong, so I only abode." he replied while he stopped leaning on his counter. He tried to keep an eye on Xavier, but only saw his butt. The dog received the pets gladly, wagging its tail.

Beau saw Mickey smirking again. "Well, you've managed to give me the strongest drink of all your strong drinks. If I didn't know better I would think you're trying to make me drunk, but I don't think you want me to make a mess." He mumbled amused. "Nice dog you've got."

Mickey chuckled. "I don't really like drunks. I like my furniture in one piece." he replied in a lighthearted manner. He tried seeing more of his pet, but that wouldn't work without doing odd things, so he stopped. "Thanks, Xavier is only a recent addition to the family. I am glad he was well trained." he replied.

Beau smirked and shook his head. "I suppose I understand it, I mean it's not like everything can be replaced that easily." He said before he took a sip of the drink. "Makes me wonder, have you ever dealt with drunks here?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. "I see, so he was a stray?" He said and looked at the dog again. "Doesn't look like it..."

"Indeed, it is quite the hassle. It also takes a lot of waiting and walking to and fro, since vehicles can't pass a certain point." Mickey explained about the first subject at hand, before continuing to the following. "Got him from the dog pound. The family bringing him in found it difficult to part with him. It was easier for them when I offered to look after him, since a year isn't old, you know. Even though his race is only supposed to grow eight years old."

"I see, I see, it would be very troublesome." He mumbled and then he shook his head again, imagining how much work that would. No, even if he liked messing with people that would just be too mean. "Ah, I see, so he used to have other owners. He seems to be attached to you now." He said seriously and then he took another sip from the drink. He was slowly thinking less clearly.

"Yeah, sadly." Mickey sighed "At least I didn't have to deal with drunks much, since owning the place. And I guess Xavier would keep a few people sober." He took a glance at Xavier again, which was easier since the dog had placed his paws in Beau's lap, demanding more pets. "Yeah, it was easy to attach him to me, by giving him all my attention for a few days and giving him some good food. Though I think he misses companions a bit. Like the family had children."

Beau nodded and then he smiled slightly. "Well, that's good, less trouble and less broken things." He said simply and then he looked at Xavier again when his paws were in his lap. He petted the dog again, knowing the dog wanted him do that. "Hm, he does miss that..? Sounds like you have a lot to do~. Won't be hard if you have a lot a female costumers." He teased Mickey

"Indeed. We can't have that, can we now?" Mickey smiled. Xavier enjoyed the petting, wagging his tail and pressing his snout in Beau's hand. Mickey was puzzled with what his customer had brought up. "Are you implying I should be making babies with my clients?" he inquired "I don't think polygamy is allowed." He chuckled at the absurdity of Beau's proposal.

"No, would be too much chaos." He mumbled with a grin. "But a little chaos is nice I guess..." He said slightly amused. Beau kept petting Xavier, which was a good thing, otherwise he would keep drinking the Aunt Roberta. He smirked slightly and then he looked away amused. "I don't know, maybe, but yeah I don't know." He grinned, knowing he was making no sense. "Who was talking about polygamy?" He said with smirk. "I'm just saying, there could be a cute girl out there, that's what I was saying."

"Yes, a little is fine. It should just be manageable." Mickey replied before stepping back a bit and taking water from under the counter, to drink himself. "Honestly, there are enough cute girls in the world, but I won't be laying every one of them." he replied amused, assuming what kind of moral Beau had, concluding problems might come the drinker's way. He also made a mental note to keep him away from his sister.

"Yeah, when it's manageable it's fun, but otherwise it will only be troublesome, maybe dangerous." He mumbled and then he sighed softly. "Ah, cute girls, but there are also a lot of cute boys out in the world. Well the last part is my opinion." He said amused, he wasn't ashamed of his sexuality, but being slightly tipsy by the drink he was beginning to say things without thinking at all. "So many options and in the end there's one left.... Well if it's a happy ending." He mumbled and then he smirked. "Sounds like you've seen a lot of cute people in your life, am I right?"

"Exactly." Mickey replied, sipping his water, while he watched his dog being an attention whore. "Perhaps." he replied, knowing he wasn't really able to deny. "Can't say I haven't. I mean I am 26 so I've seen enough people pass by." he said "But it is a matter of taste."

Beau, who was finally realizing he couldn't finish the drunk without getting drunk, decided not to drink the rest of the drink. He once again petted the dog, chuckling slightly at the behavior of the dog and then he looked at Mickey with smirk. "They pass by, but not the one? That's a shame." He mumbled slightly amused. "I guess you're right though."

"You seem to imply I had a sweetheart." Mickey replied, smiling "I guess I have to take that as a compliment. But I never made time for one." He drank some while he noticed Beau refusing to acknowledge the rest of his drink. Wise man. Xavier was pleased with all the pets. Well, Great Danes were known to be the biggest lapdog.

"What? Is that a wrong thing to say? I mean being a bartender means you've got to see a lot of people, right?" He chuckled and then he smirked. "You know, people can always make time." He mumbled amused. "I'm sure when someone passes by who seems to like you as well you will make time for it." He grinned. "Your dog loves attention from people, doesn't he?" He said, looking at Xavier.

"No, it isn't wrong." Mickey replied "And yes people can make time, and yes I think I am ready for that know. But I'd rather know the other person well." He started cleaning glasses. "Yeah, he really likes the attention." He smirked. "Quite the puppy."

Beau smirked and then he nodded. "I understand you would like to know the person as well, that's something that's necessary for a relationship to work I guess." He mumbled and then he sighed. "Although love can also be troublesome." He suddenly said, kind of dropping the subject for now. "Well, that's a good thing I think and he's not annoying like some dogs I've seen in my life." He said and then he petted Xavier a little more. Then he looked at Mickey again. "We haven't introduced ourselves formally, have we?"

"You'll probably know more about that than I do, bud." Mickey replied jovially, not really sure how to react to it. Maybe it would boost the guy's self-esteem and otherwise it would push him further. "Yes, Xavier is a good dog." he replied and took out dog candy "Give him that." He then washed his hands before touching another glass. "No, we have not. Mickey Coleman, at your service." he introduced himself.

"Well, I might know a few things... I such an expert..." Beau mumbled with a smirk, not meaning the last part at all. "Although I'm no expert on the girls in this town. I mean, before I started working for mayor I stayed at the inn and that girl, the owner, was totally oblivious... I mean I could have stolen the keys and she would be like 'what happened to the keys?' And no matter how obvious my sarcasm was she didn't seem to notice it..." He mumbled, shaking his head. "Today I met the owner of the flowershop and I just 'teased' her a little and she stopped talking to me... Really, I don't understand the girls here..." He mumbled. He looked at the dog candy and then he nodded. "Alright." He said and then he gave it to Xavier. He smiled and then he nodded. "Nice to meet you, Mickey. I'm Beau." He told Mickey.

"It has always been said women have a complicated mind." Mickey replied "I am sure you'll have to handle it differently if you want them to like you. But I guess that's not what you're after." He took care of some more glasses. He wanted to warn the fellow that if he hurt his sister he would definitely hurt him. But he didn't know enough about the man to get him where it really stung. He looked at Beau and gave him a friendly nod. Xavier gladly munched on the dog candy, wagging his tail in happiness.

Beau nodded and then he sighed. "That's true, although I'm not sure it's really a fact. Ah well..." He said with a shrug and then he chuckled. "Perhaps so, although I hope there are girls or boys who would like it when I tease her or him." He mumbled amused. "Nah, I wasn't really after those girls, I just teased them and they didn't appreciate it." He grinned, remembering faces. Hilarious, they really were. Although he was annoyed when it didn't work. He had no idea Mickey had a sister, so he wouldn't even know if he would see his sister. He grabbed his wallet after he watched the dog eating the dog candy. "How much was the Aunt Roberta?" He asked Mickey.

Mickey was sure that everyone's mind was complicated, no matter the gender. After all it's an add up of experiences and memories. "There will probably be people who wouldn't be opposed." he reassured. He put away the glasses. "Hopefully you didn't strike a nerve." he added. He turned back to his customer and leant on his side of the bar. "Just a few dollars." he replied.

Beau chuckled and then he nodded. "I guess people like that exist, I haven't really met people like that." He said and then he shook his head. "Hm, I might have, but I guess that person wil be 'fine'. Eventually I mean." He mumbled amused. He knew he had offended her, but he wasn't going to tell everything detailed, not when he didn't know the bartender that well. "Alright." He said and then he grabbed a few dollars and handed them over to Mickey. "This okay?" He asked with a grin.

"Oh, trust me. There are people. You just need to find them." Mickey smirked. Oh, he knew about people, but he wasn't going to get into that. Much of the new people he had met in his life were a one time deal only in the cities, when he went to buy equipment or had to make some deals. "Let's hope they'll be fine soon." he replied before straightened up and took the dollars "Thank you." He went to get some change for the customer and handed it to him. "There you go."

"Finding them, sounds like an easy mission." He mumbled sarcastically and then he smirked a bit. He wasn't going to search for them any time soon. He knew he was going to meet new people and who knows what happens, it wasn't like he was searching for a serious relationship, but he thought it would be fun. "Yeah, it would be a lot better to meet up with these people when they are in a good mood I guess." He chuckled. "Thanks." He said when he got some change and then he stood up. "It was nice to meet you." He said and he smiled. "I guess I'll come here more often, I mean you've a nice bar and nice music." He said with a smirk. He walked over to the door and waved goodbye before he walked out.

Mickey chuckled. "If you know where to look that is." he smirked in reply. He leant again on his side of the bar. He wasn't sure if Beau was looking or not, he only knew he was right. "Yeah, meeting people in a good mood is best." he replied, chuckling. "Thank you. It was nice meeting you too." he replied "Until the next time." He allowed a short wave, before getting back to cleaning.
